Demonstrating Excellence On and Off the course

I am a self-starter with aspirations for continued growth academically and as a person. I've worked extremely hard the past few years. I will be a Sophomore Student Athlete at Howard University this coming fall after transferring from Rollins College to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  A brief summary of my achievements:

  • Accepted into the College of Engineering at Howard University

  • Accepted into the 3/2 Accelerated Management Program (AMP) MBA Program at Rollins

  • Obtained a 3.92 GPA Fall Semester with 19 credit hours (Physics, Calculus 1, French, & AI)​

  • Majoring in Physics & Minor in Computer Science

  • Earned two Associate Degrees with Highest Distinction via dual enrollment and AP/Honors coursework upon graduating high school. Now technically a junior (in credit hours) upon starting my freshman year at Rollins College

  • Recipient of the 2024 National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) Rising Star

  • Recipient of the 2024 U.S. Presidents Award for Educational Excellence

  • Graduate of Xavier College Preparatory (XCP) - Ranked among Top 5 schools in the U.S. for student athletes 

  • Member - National Honor Society

  • Member - National French Honor Society

  • Winner of the 2024 Arizona Interscholastic Assoc. (AIA) Student of Year

  • Finalist for 2024 AIA Scholar Athlete

  • Placed in XCP's Honors program for English,  Algebra, Advanced Placement (AP) World History

  • Made Honor Roll all 16 quarters with a 4.0 GPA while at XCP

  • Two time Recipient of the Global Citizen Award – 2019 and 2020

  • Through the Model Montessori United Nations (MMUN) program I completed a 3 year global cycle conducting year long research each year to develop a resolution to a worldly issue. I traveled to and presented my resolutions in each of the 3 regions of the world, North America (the UN HQ in NYC), Europe (UN in Rome, Italy), and Asia (Hangzhou China). Those worldly issues included Nuclear Non-Proliferation of North Korea, Equal Rights for the disabled, and Food Safety and Equality.

Additional Info

  • Recipient of the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Service Project Award as member of our High School's National Honor Society chapter. Key team member in helping to organize and manage our team community service project.

  • I have volunteered for St. Mary’s Food Bank, Unite Phoenix via my local church, Beacon Street Ministries, The First Tee of Phoenix, Golf Fore Africa, Luv Michael non profit for Autism Awareness, and the Ladies Professional Golf Associate (LPGA) Girls Golf​ of Phoenix organization to name a few

  • As a follow up to the 3 years of MMUN conferences, I completed the MMUN Bureau Leadership training program with aspirations of leading a MMUN conference one day overseas.

  • I love to read, play with my Yorkie, practice my faith, and spend time with my family and friends as much as I can!

  • A fun fact: Family originated from a small island in the Gulf of Mexico – have a tiny street named after us there!
